Pamlico 6-12 Consolidation
Pamlico 6–12 Consolidation is a student-centered, two-story, 150,000 GSF school serving 900 middle and high school students. The school is in rural Bayboro, North Carolina and will bring the county’s only middle school and high school under one roof. Classrooms are organized around central learning commons with adjacent daylit collaboration zones that support hands-on, interdisciplinary learning. The design incorporates energy-efficient systems, including geothermal, to advance the county’s sustainability goals. Joining during programming, I collaborated with educators and staff to shape the design and led community engagement efforts to build support for its innovative approach.
