House Garage and Plaza Renovation

The State of Florida House Garage and Plaza is the second phase of the renovation to the State of Florida Capitol Grounds. The scope of work mirrors that of the Senate Garage and Plaza. Following the completion of the Senate Garage and Plaza, I continued as project architect for the second phase of the House Garage and Plaza. Prior to the start of construction, I led an effort to review and modify the construction documents to apply “lessons learned” from phase one. This was a critical element of the efforts to reduce use of the project’s contingency and reduce the overall cost. Modifications were also made to refine detail clarity and readdress security concerns.
